Started Female Drahthaar Available

Tilly is currently about 60cm tall and weighs about 53lbs.  She will surely get a little bigger, but will remain a middle to larger-sized Drahthaar female.  She is a very friendly and passionate boy with a lot of drive to hunt.  She is a closer-working dog.  She points and backs/honors incredibly well for her age.  She has completed force-fetch training and her retrieving is solid.  She delivers to hand and sits nicely to present.  She loves to retrieve pheasants, ducks, rabbits, raccoons, dummies, or any other piece of game.  Tilly hasn't been in the water much yet due to when she was born, but she will gain a lot of exposure as temperatures warm up.  

Tilly currently lives in the house with us and our other (female) Drahthaar.  She has never met a person or dog that she didn't like.  I think she would prefer living in another household with dogs.  She is an affectionate girl and likes getting a lot of attention.  She is housebroken, up to date on all of her vaccinations, and crate-trained.  She is very quiet in her crate every night, anytime we are both gone from the house during the day, and whenever she is crated in the truck.  She is very obedient (knows sit, stay, down, heel, come, and fetch) when not in the presence of game.  In the presence of game, her obedience is still pretty good for her age :-)  She is e-collar conditioned and familiar with the Halt whistle (i.e. she usually listens to it but isn't 100% consistent yet).  

Tilly is a pretty girl with a very short and tight-fitting coat.  She is Ff for furnishings but unfortunately it doesn't appear that her beard will be long enough to qualify for a ZR number.  But if you are looking for a Drahthaar with a zero-maintenance coat, she could be a great fit.  She had a wonderful first hunting season with over 60 wild birds shot over her points/backs.  She showed excellent manners in always backing my older Drahthaar on point.  By the end of the season, she was finding and pointing her own wild birds as well.  She also showed some excellent tracking ability on some wounded roosters and rabbits.
